Beer wise, Okells Best as the single cask offering. Guinness, Stella, Magners and Midway Session IPA made out the keg range.
Venue opposite fellow public house on the way into Castletown. This place does not open every day and shuts weekday (at least) lunchtimes during the week. Chatting to the landlord he said they were very (pub) food led rather than being a wet led venue. Inside the right-hand door takes you to the bar area, but with tables set for diners, and everyone else here on my visit were eating. It is a classy space with nice carpet, a log burner on the wall opposite the servery and fabric banquettes along the perimeter walls. The left-hand fork takes you to another seating / dining space but with additionally some leather sofas. This side was unoccupied on my visit and the bar counter that side as a continuation from my side had no pumps or taps. The Sidings (visited for first time last year by me) opposite is your best bet for a beer range if you fancy a pint on your way into Castletown, with some decent choices for completing the trek into Castletown.

Yes more of a hotel bar like it says not many in when we called were across the road at the sidings was very busy. Think they are trying to push the food but as a very nice beer garden at the back and a play area for the children
