Awful service when we ate here before (extremely rude waiter who was given a very public and severe telling off by the manager as a result of his behaviour that evening). Second time around, the Titanic Captain Smith must have been a good week past its sell-by date. Vinegary and disgusting. Always busy here, but not heard many good things!

Inviting-looking Wetherspoons not far from the train station.
Disappointed on a Friday night to see most of the real ale lines out of action for 'cleaning' (didn't see much evidence of that actually taking place though!). Poor show really - I could understand it on a Monday, but Friday???
The inside of the place is fairly-well kitted out and of course the prices are cheap - but cheap prices are only good if the beer you want to buy is available.

This is a grand 2 floored Wetherspoons outlet with all the usual Wetherspoons trimmings.I cant comment on the beer as i never got that far down the line.I called in one Friday night at around 9pm and must say was a little surprised to find only 2 barstaff on duty. Anyway i gave it a try,and after a lengthy spell at the bar with no joy found the nearest exit and left.So on a Friday if you find yourself with plenty of time on your hands and fancy a clear head on a Saturday, you are on to a winner. In all fairness it was probably a one off.
