Basically a roadside eatery that has a bar and poses as a pub. Four handpumps but Hogsback TEA was the only beer available.

Update really, due to circumstances we returned for another go Sunday late lunchtime. Food was OK, nothing special but not really expected to be. It was noticeable that service was very slow and haphazard, not just us, next table waited over an hour, and complained twice. Their rare, exacting & exotic order was bangers & mash, which says it all
Not rated this time, could really do better than this
Update. June 2014
Revisit, sunny Sunday lunchtime in mid June, much improved from last visit, no idea why, perhaps not as many customers? Anyway, food was fine, service was fine, beer was fine

Not the sort of review I like writing, called in mid September Sunday, around 1330, mainly for pub lunch, sad to say the food [scampi & chips] tasted of rancid oil, we left most of it. very polite & helpful waitress checked with kitchen and was assured oil was fresh that morning, but she did knock 30% off bill so basically paid for drinks only
May have been an off day, the next table complained about their pint, was replaced and clip removed, maybe they had bottom of barrel?
Staff remain polite & helpful, but I doubt we will be returning any time soon

As others have noted, fairly standard Chef & Brewer, but does have handpulls, and hot food, plus large car park
We find it handy on way home from RHS Wisley, usually stopping here after 1ish on Sunday afternoons
Staff we have encountered were pleasant and friendly
I have no doubt will revisit when in area

Fairly standard Chef & Brewer establishment - decent enough place to stop off for a drink and meal as we did at lunchtime yesterday, but not in expectation of anything memorable. On the ale front, had a reasonably good Hopback Crop Circle from one of the 4 hand pumps; Abbot was also available and a Doombar clip was reversed. The wild boar burger with plum chutney was an interesting menu choice. Seemed steady with customers, and service was pretty efficient albeit variable in personality.

Large Chef & Brewer place on old Portsmouth Road, so heavily food-biased. Could actually be quite a good pub if it wasn't quite as "corporate". Service (and food) patchy but beer good.
