Moby Duck left this review about The Hare & Hounds
Tucked away two or three hundred yards down a lane off the main road running through the village, The Hare and Hounds is very much a locals pub. Separated into three areas the middle section you walk into upon entering is the main drinking area with the bar in front of you, to your left is a section for eating and to your right ,down a couple of steps is a small section with a pool table.A Hall and Woodhouse pub ,so Badger beer is the order of the day, not a particular favorite of mine, beers on were First Call,Leaping Legend and Tanglefoot, also clipped up was Old Rosie Cider and Henry Westons Mulled Cider, the latter you can presumably drink cold as there was also a heating urn dispensing the same stuff on the back of the bar. There was a TV screen in the main area, at the time of my visit showing horse racing from the Cheltenham Gold Cup week. Fairly smart in appearance inside and out, Duck Egg Green seemed a rather prominent colour. Despite the Badger beer (there are worse things) and I would have liked to have seen a guest beer, I found this to be a very pleasant stop off and wouldn't mind stopping by again sometime.
