Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Coach & Horses
'Inn' sounds to grand for this old corner building, but it was supposedly the terminus for the Canterbury coaches before the railway came to town. Anyway, the present-day pub has been given an eye-catching external paint job by Shepherd Neame but remains traditional enough inside. The corner door enters the extended main bar and there is another opened-out seating / games area back right. However, there is another door on the frontage for the snug-sized bar on the right-hand side of the central servery. Unfortunately, just Master Brew (£5.20) on the three handpumps.

Roger Button left this review about Coach & Horses
Dating back to the 17th Century, the Coach & Horses was originally the end house in a series of cottages.
The interior is divided into a small and quite plain front bar with a modern with brick built bar, banquette seating and small round dimpled tables. The larger rear bar has a bit more character with book shelves, low ceilings, old pictures and a dart board. To the rear is a small walled courtyard patio.
This is one of Whitstable’s many Shepherd Neame pubs so you won’t find much diversity across the ale pumps although the quality has always been fine and prices reasonable enough.
Since my visits always coincide with the Oyster Festival, I always find the place heaving with Morris Dancers who regularly perform in the small adjacent square next to the pub. I wouldn’t imagine the place is particularly boisterous on normal days although they do have live music on occasions.
It is a harmless enough place that does what it says on the tin and whilst we use it on the odd occasion as a time killer before heading to the station, I wouldn’t consider it a place that merits special attention.
