David Walton left this review about Foresters Arms

Visited 09/02/26. Visited previously on 01/12/21.

Cask amounted to two pumps dispensing Whitstable Bay Pale Ale and one dispensing Master Brew with three pumps unclipped. Keg comprised Orchard View cider, Spitfire lager and Bear Osland East Coast Pale Ale all from SN, then Hurlimann lager, Cruz and Guinness.

Quirky Shepherd Neame venue a short walk from the town centre. It is U shaped with the bar counter providing service on three sides, the front side just inside the entrance from the busy main road outside. There is a small amount of seating on astroturf out the front. The left-hand side is bare boarded with a couple of booth tables in the front windows, then regular tables on the left-hand wall with a pool table just before the entrance to the kitchen at rear. There is a door to a rear outside but well covered beer garden. Apart from the bare board skirt around the other side of the bar counter, there is a tiled section at the front of the right-hand side housing some tall tables, a dart board, log burner, and a couple of old school arcade machines. There is another pool table at the rear of the right-hand side in a bare boarded area. The few in on my visit were perched on tall stools at the bar counter. No obvious TV's and a pop soundtrack. Lots of fairy lights, a strong sense of incense that I found super off-putting in a pub, and every square millimetre of the walls plastered with currency, CD covers, posters, maps and much much more. Whilst my pint of Whitstable Bay was good, found the venue super distracting on pretty much every sense.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Foresters Arms

Corner pub, and Shepherd Neame's fixture in Tonbridge for many years. Two rooms: a L-shaped bar with a few small, high tables and the pool table at the far end, and a side room with a better mix of furniture; both with a pleasant light feel. Walls and ceilings in both parts redecorated with an eclectic range poster, adverts, stickers, maps and just about anything else flat and colourful that will stick. Pool, bar billiards and a compact but colourful rear patio garden. Master Brew and Whitstable Bay Pale (£5.20) from two of the three handpumps on this revisit.

Strongers . left this review about Foresters Arms

The Foresters is a U shaped pub with a pool table and dartboard to the right rear and another dartboard in the front right corner. In the left rear is a bar billiards table that was covered during my recent Friday evening visit. I spotted at least one television that is used to show the advertised live sport. This screen was off during my visit in favour of some background music. On Sundays there is an advertised meat raffle before Boogie Bingo, whatever the hell that is! The bar was stocked with the usual array of Shepherd Neame choice draught products and I counted six hand pumps. Two of these were unused with Whitstable Bay and Master Brew being both double up on the remaining four hand pumps.

I spotted a jumbrella out the back which suggested that there is a beer garden, but I did not visit.

The ten or so locals in attendance seemed harmless enough, but the young barmaid that served me obviously did not want to be there.
