No cask. Keg offerings were Balfour cider, Arctic Sky IPA from Harbour, Lucky Saint, Guinness, Peroni, Budvar and the Weissbier and Helles from Hoffmeister.
Smart bar/ restaurant. On the bridge over the water with some outside seating space on the terrace overlooking the water. Inside the venue is L shaped with the bar counter parallel to the outside area and so in front of you as you enter from the terrace. Mostly bare boarded apart from a small chess board patterned tiled floor in front of the entrance. Seating around the bar counter is tall wooden stools with backs plus a few small tables with leather wing back armchairs. The other side of the servery is an area mostly laid out for diners, of which there were a few on my early evening, early week visit. The lighting is very pleasant. This adds to the stock of a varied set of places to visit on High St here. Won't get the cask brigade salivating but there are plenty of places around here to do that, so this place is a reasonable complement to a small town drinking scene.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Verdigris
The former Castle (Gold Bar) has been replaced by this thoroughly modernised 'kitchen & bar' which is at the restaurant end of the spectrum (although not as much as in its previous Graze incarnation). I has also been remodelled again since the last change of name, with a larger counter and two small lounge areas replacing some of the dining tables. Further seating is also available outside, under cover and overlooking the river. Although there is still no real ale, draught beer has made a return (including Source pale ale from Laines and the new-style Hofmeister Helles) and there is an increased range of bottled offerings too. Overall, it is a decent building in a fine position, and although during 'lockdown II' it is only operating as a takeaway café, a brief visit inside to get a (very good) cup of coffee would encourage me to visit again when open fully again.
