Strongers . left this review about Jolly Potters
The Jolly Potters is set back from the passing road by a large car park that was empty apart from a couple of builder’s vans during my recent Tuesday afternoon visit. The large left-hand public bar houses a dartboard, a pool table, a plasma screen that was showing The Chase and a jukebox. A separate lounge area with sofas to the right is joined by double doors to a rear bar, both were closed during my visit. I imagine that this area acts as the advertised function room. Out the back is a smoking area and a large semi-covered patio that backs onto a well-tended lawn.
Food is served daily, although I didn’t peruse a menu. Standard keg is available from the bar and although two hand pumps stood unused Sharp’s Doom Bar was available on the third.
I found the surroundings to be basic, but the welcome was polite, and the locals seemed friendly. I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit here again, but I would pop in to watch the football if passing.
