Strongers . left this review about The Last Post

Steps up from the street climb to the front entrance that is flanked by two large Stoke City badges, the Bet365 Stadium is about two miles away. The open plan front of the pub feels like an extension with floor to ceiling windowed walls that face high tables to the front and standard tables up the left opposite the long serving counter that supports standard keg alongside two hand pumps, one of which was in use drawing Abbot Ale. At the rear is a pool table and test your strength boxing machine where 15 or so locals were assembled in a haze of vape fumes. The service was polite, but the atmosphere felt like an outreach centre, so I don’t plan on returning.

The Last Post is situated in the middle of Longton behind the market.
This pub looks like a Spoons and has a Spoons type name but this pub is not a Spoons.
Once inside there is one very large room the bar is on the right, there are tall tables and stools near the entrance and normal tables and chairs running across the front windows, there was a pool table to the rear of the room, there were quite a few large TVs and all were showing a music channel which had some decent music videos on.
The carpets were well worn out with the area near the seating having no carpet at all.
There were 7 pumps on the bar with 3 out of use and one beer on twice,i had a drink of Pedigree which was quite a nice drink, the other beers were Titanic mild and Hobgoblin.
The pub opens at 10.00 during the week and 9.30 on a Saturday which was very handy for me as it was very cold outside.
