Strongers . left this review about The Spinners Arms

There are three steps to climb up to the entrance of the Spinners Arms where there’s a carpeted room to the left with seating and a large television for the advertised live sports, there was a muted home nations World Cup qualifier game airing while some background music played. To the right of the entrance is a laminate floored seating area with another television. The rear wall of this room has been removed to allow access to the tile floored bar area and L-shaped serving counter that is found midway up the right-hand wall, so this is where the locals where assembled. Opposite the counter up the left is a pool table and another, much larger, television that was also airing the football. Towards the rear of the pub is a dartboard and more seating with a couple of tables. Premium keg was available from the polite bar staff, as were Old Speckled Hen, Landlord, Old Rosie and Rosie’s Pig from the four hand pumps. I thought it was OK in here for watching the match, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to revisit, and I was a little confused why they were putting up Halloween decorations three weeks before the event.

Popped in one lunchtime ,clean and tidy boozer with pool table to left of bar and comfy seating to the right overlooking the steep road outside.Somewhat dull selaction of ale Bombadier,Adnams bitter but the pick was the Black Sheep which was well kept .Friendly barmaid and well used by regulars at least this place was open, having passed two Robinsons pubs closed that lunchtime.
