As described below, saving me some tedious typing on my phone. Not really my sort of place, a big, empty room with difficult acoustics and keg beer. But someone recommended it, so here I am. Lots of beers from Shilling and others. I went for their Glasgow Red 4.4%, on one of the taps on the back wall. The lass serving had a bit of trouble with it, which meant that her back was to me for about a minute, which is not ideal from a customer service point of view - not only is she not facing me but she can't observe the room and the door and has no idea what might be going on. The beer was priced at £5.70/pint but I was charged £2.99 for my half, which was not as cold or gassy as many keg beers, but if it was cask I would say it was a bit green and underdeveloped.

Brewery, bar and pizza restaurant in a venerable art deco building, open plan bar area with the counter and brewing vessels to the left, loads more fermenting vessels are visible on the floor above. Keg taps are sort of replicated on the back wall and counter top, below are clear industrial fittings showing beer colour. The high but ornate ceiling combined with little in the way of soft furnishings makes it a wee bit noisy. All keg but the gas is dialled down to sensible levels and the beer is tasty enough. Big screen sports projected onto one wall. Interesting and worth a look.

A huge art deco building ,internally very modern with long high tables with lots reserved on my Friday 5pm visit, but thankfully with times noted. To the left is the bar with wall and bar top taps behind which to full ceiling height are magnificent coppers.Opposite the high tables is an open kitchen with pizza oven then a raised section with more normal modern furniture. It will attract a younger crowd and there is a bewildering choice of keg beers.
The wall taps offer 6 house beers from Shilling, while there are 19 guest beers, sparkling ciders and premixed cocktails. There is a large screen display to help but there is so much choice that this scrolls around so you really have to concentrate.
I went for Shilling George Zest, not too cold but highly carbonated ,I was freely belching after one pint. However there is such a mix of styles and strengths, you may as well pop in and give the keg a go.

A lovely Art Deco building (another old bank building) that caught my eye and got added to my crawl list when I spotted it housed a brewpub (Shilling Brew Company). Rather less of that Art Deco inside and really it's a bit of an open-plan barn but is tastefully done nonetheless especially if you get a seat facing the magnificent windows. A plethora of (key)keg beers available and there's a jumbo Untappd board to help you decide. Seating is designed for larger groups and was populated with upmarket (for Glasgow) punters. Thirds came in a copper flight, delivered by a cheerful potboy. Tried a couple of the brewery’s own wares of which were decent, plus beers from Downlands and Wilde Child. Prices are upwardly mobile. If you like something a bit different then this is a fair shout, I enjoyed my hour here – it’s handy as being a late(ish) opener as well.

We called in here on a Tuesday eve, so this brewery bar wasn't too busy. This was to our advantage as the young barman could take his time finding us the right beer and handing out a few samples. As Old Boots mentioned below their beers weren't overly gassed, which I prefer and the beers weren't too cold.
31 beers in total to choose from on our visit, so I settled for the Cromarty Happy Clappy and the Team Toxic Campania Neopolitan Ice Cream Milk Stout, which was interesting.
The pizzas were also reasonably priced, so all in all a decent visit.

Pub SignMan left this review about Shilling Brewing Company
This is a large, slightly soulless brew-pub in the heart of the city, showcasing beers from the eponymous Shilling Brew Company. The pub occupies an impressive building but its grandeur means that it is like being in a large ‘90’s drinking barn and as such, it is difficult to generate any atmosphere unless it’s packed out. You enter through a somewhat pointless glass porch into a vast, vinyl floored room with an extremely high ceiling. The servery is located all the way over to the left and has a modern counter which includes some weird green, backlit taps, a large beer board surrounded by pump clips at the far end and some of the brewing kit to the left, with more equipment visible through the windows above. High tables and stools run through the centre of the room with banquettes to the rear and a few secluded seating spots in partially screened areas behind. A raised area over to the right sees banquettes and chairs under a rather insane looking unicorn mural, whilst the whole pub has these amazing art nouveau windows running around it. There is a big screen on the back wall showing a load of dull promotional material and various large boards listing more of the same corporate nonsense offer the only real form of décor. Stairs lead down to the toilets and on your way, you pass through some huge strong room-style doors, which suggest this building was probably once a bank (perhaps the brewery name also hints at this?).
There is no cask ale here but an extensive keg range including lots of house beers and plenty of guests means you’re spoilt for choice. Bewildered by the array of options, I asked the friendly barman to help me select a beer, but he didn’t seem particularly confident in doing so and we struggled to find what I was looking for. I eventually settled on a pint of Shilling Transporter which was nice enough but way too cold on a freezing January evening.
This is quite an impressive enterprise with a big selling point in the fact that it brews it beer on site. However, I was a little underwhelmed, with the lack of cask, puzzled staff and large, cold interior all putting me off a bit. Worth a look to give the homebrew a try and to admire the interior, but one visit was sufficient for me.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Shilling Brewing Company
Brew-pub set up in an imposing former bank building, furnished and decorated in a much more modern style than most such conversions. If you hadn't missed the historical point, there are also the former bank vault doors downstairs by the toilets. More to the point, much of the brew-plant is visible behind the counter, and they make much of the short distance between production and dispense. Four of their own beers are on offer at any one time - Unicorn IPA, The Icarus Project pale ale, Glasgow Red and Black Star Teleporter (all at £4.20) - when I visited. However, there are also up to 27 other craft beers available from the three founts of nine keg taps. Impressive.
