This is a one roomed pub that I used to visit regularly when a friend of mine lived just round the corner. I hadn’t visited for a while until my recent visit. Nothing much has changed although the cask beer range has improved as it used to be a Boddingtons tied house many years ago. There were 4 handpumps on the bar with 3 beers on, Deuchars IPA, Thwaites Original and Black Sheep bitter, the Thwaites was fine. There’s seating all round the walls of the room along with tables and chairs and a few barstools, there’s also a quiz machine. It’s fairly basic really, but it’s a good friendly local.
