Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Red Lion
With the Trevor Arms being some way out of Marford down a rather steep hill, the Red Lion is the only pub in the village itself. It shares its car park with a convenience store.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this pub. Google describes it as an Indian & Sports Bar. However, from the outside it still looks like a traditional pub. Indeed, the inside also still feels like a pub. There are a couple of rooms - a light and airy restaurant area, where presumably the Indian food is served, plus a more dimly lit bar with TV screens showing live football. Numerous Liverpool and Manchester United memorabilia lines the walls of the bar.
Real ale can no longer be found here. Although handpulls were still in situ. So, perhaps they appear occasionally. The keg selection was Worthington's, Stella Artois, Thatcher's Gold, Carling, Fosters, Guinness, Cobra & Madri.
It's a pleasant drinking space and maybe the curry is very good. However as a pub, I can't really recommend it.
