Rural pub with a bar and restaurant. The bar had a handful of elderly locals. There was a nice area with some leather furniture in the bar which also featured lots of Halloween decorations, including a very large pumpkin.
Landlord is the cask ale. In fact, I only noticed a single handpull. Neck Oil was a keg option. Ciders were Aspall's & Old Mout. Not sure what the food is like but I can't find too much to recommend this one on.

Called at the pub one evening on spek,about 17.50pm,were told that the restaurant opens at 18.00pm,we said we would have a drink to wait.we orderd our starter at 18.05,which was the dyserth black pudding ,whitebait and some garlic bread with the starter,the starter finally arived at 18.40 minus the garlic bread,we were not impesed with the speed of the service and getting wrong as well,how hard can it be to get the order correct and in a reasonable time.
The main course was described as having hand cut chips and crinkly chips for my partner, the chips were not as described but were the usual thin type you get in a fast food restaurant,we did complain but got no apology or any thing,so make sure you ask the waitres if the meal is as descrbed on the menu.
