Blue Scrumpy left this review about Owain Glyndwr Inn
Rural pub with a lovely location overlooking the Welsh countyrside. Opening hours are limited to Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtimes. So, we had to time our visit carefully.
We arrived to find a packed pub with a good mixture of young and old. A group of young lads were playing pool on the table which fills the right-hand side of the pub. They were quite friendly and courteous enough to stand aside for anybody coming in and out of the toilets which can also be found on this side.
Elsewhere, tables were being used by diners taking advantage of some kind of sausage evening. Although, prices seemed quite high. Whilst we were looking for something to eat, the prices combined with the lack of tables to eat, deterred us from doing so.
On the real ale front, Wainwright is the cask ale. This is a small place that was full of character, had some friendly customers and some fantastic views. In fact, if you can bag one of the tables on the tiny front patio to enjoy the view, all the better.
