Blue Scrumpy left this review about Lletty Hotel

I hadn't originally planned to pay a visit to this pub but with another one closed, I pulled this one off the subs bench. It was pub of the day.

Only open 4 evenings a week, this pub appears to have a loyal local following who come for both the beers and food. There is a long, narrowish room with a smaller separate room off to the left with a dartboard. Diners seemed to prefer the right-hand end of the main room. A real fire was going and music was playing. Both children and dogs are allowed.

At the bar, there were 3 handpulls. The cask ales were Hafod Loggerheads Bitter & Magic Dragon Eyton Gold. I chose the Loggerheads Bitter which although given a slightly short measure was in excellent condition and very enjoyable. The third handpull was unclipped but they also seem to stock an adventurous changing keg beer choice. For my visit, they had Ickle Bit Reddish, a beer from a seemingly new local brewery called Bad Dragon. The cider was Thatcher's Gold.

I found this to be an unpretentious local boozer serving what looked like decent food and with as exciting a beer line-up as you are likely to find in a rural Welsh pub.

The Lletty Hotel has reopened (Nov 2023) after nine years of closure and a years complete refurbishment. Real Ales on sale include beers from Conwy, Purple Moose. The Real Ales will be rotated. Local micro brewery "Bad Dragon" keg beer from nearby Greenfield will be regular.
Food not served at present, but it will be introduced sometime soon.
