The Linlithgow Tap. Smart enough inside, with an island bar.
Four or five real ales - all detailed on the chalkboard.
Decent pint of Jarl.
Quiet, but it was a Tuesday.

This is a sort of all-things-to-all-people type of pub. If you like real ale, there's a choice of six hand pumps. (Orkney Dark Island, Kinneil Yill, Fyne Jarl and Inveralmond Ossian at the time of my visit, if my notes are to be believed.) If you like lager, they have lager. If you like pub architecture, the bar is octagonal. Foot rail and hooks - you got it. Radio - oh yes. As you may have gathered, this place didn't really float my boat, but don't let me put you off going along and making up your own mind.

Formerly known as the Footballers & Cricketers Arms the pub has undergone a make over with the introduction of 6 Real Ale taps. Gone are the stained glass panels of footballer and cricketer to be replaced by clear glass windows.
