The pub sits at the old St Ninian's toll, at the meeting point of the old Glasgow and Edinburgh roads. The main bar area is in the original house style building and there is a large extension to the side which has the lounge and restaurant area. The place is a good local but I feel is missing out on the historical side of things of which the pub diagonally across the road has exploited. What is not helping is the large carpeted floor of which the carpet has seen much better days. Change the carpet so that 1st time visitors could become 2nd time visitors. Parking is available across the road at the rear of the shops in Bannockburn Road.
