An interesting low-rise stone building opposite the abbey houses a large bar on one side and a lounge on the other. The bar has a floorboarded front area with a pool table, and a stone floored seating area behind. The smart and tidy lounge seems mainly used for diners. Decoration is traditional and the surviving etched glass windows for Walker's Kilmarnock Whisky are a nice touch. Sadly the three odd handpumps were all out of use, however real ale is expected to return at a future date.
