*** CAMRA Heritage pub and a lovely place, both outside and in. Bar gantry, detailed stained glass windows at the front. Three wood and glass rooms at the rear. Old skool music and a statuesque Scotalian PhD barmaid who was very good with the punters. GBG listed and 10% off the cask. Two Orkney ales and one bring pulled through; sadly my Dark Island was a little past its best (NBSS 2). If you’re a first-time visitor to Paisley then this should be a default stop.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bull Inn
A real surprise, this, with a seemingly bog-standard town-centre pub retaining many interesting features within. The relatively narrow bar has a gantried servery along one side, but the most notable features are the three snugs lining the corridor beyond. Apart from the inevitable sports TV screens, the remaining decor and furniture are all of the traditional ilk. Two of three handpumps in operation, offering Fyne Ales Maverick (expensive but good at £3.95) and Strathaven Clydesdale IPA, with the third being pulled through as I left.

Long, dark and narrow, lots of dark wood, an interesting bar counter, and small “snugs” tucked away at the back of the room make this an interesting bar, the three air pumps with reasonably kept Harviestoun beers also help to make it one of the more characterful places to drink in Paisley. The main bar has the counter down one side and bench seating with tables and chairs down the other. Walls are panelled wood decorated with lots of old photos of the area. The afore mentioned snugs are small half glazed rooms at the rear of the main room, the bar seems to be used by the men and the snugs by the women, couples and small mixed groups of friends. There are screens and machines of course and the punters seem a friendly bunch. The staff were pretty much on the ball as well.
