Thoroughly-modern refit of the one-time Stirling Arms Hotel with designer décor and furniture which manages to retain a good and lively atmosphere despite a heavy emphasis on food. The bar area is to the left, with a larger restaurant area sweeping round to the rear and some outdoor seating on a balcony over the river. Ales at time of visit were Dragonhead Stout and Golf Pale Ale and both in very good form. The food however is exceptional and is highly recommended.
