The Hillhouse area of Hamilton was built in the 1950’s to early 1960’s. The place had a population of over 2000 with no licensed premises in the area. This was how the Hillhouse Inn then came about. It had a large public bar and a smaller lounge and a reception room. There was plenty of parking around the Inn. The upper storey was a 3 bed roomed house. Another pub biting the dust. As the review below shows the place is now a Tesco Express.
