David Ross left this review about Roxy's

I remember this place as a run of the mill Lanarkshire local rejoicing in the curious name of "The Bickering Bush." It has now been renamed more conventionally and transformed into an up-market lounge bar. Prices are quite steep for the town, with a pint of Guinness selling for £3.15. Also on draught are McEwan's 60 Shilling, John Smith's, Strongbow cider and Foster's and Kronenberg lagers. Food odours wafting through the open kitchen door behind the bar smelt alluring, although I didn't see anyone actually eating. The supporting ceiling pillars survive from the Bickering Bush era, but Roxy's is now rather too modern and loungey for my tastes.

Now known as Roxy's . Apparently well-regarded for their Saturday night karaoke .
