Millport is situated about 1 hour from Glasgow and a 10-minute ferry ride and a 10-minute bus ride from Largs. Check out http://www.calmac.co.uk/destinations/cumbrae.htm for ferry times. This pub, which is about a 1/4 mile from the centre of Millport and just after what I would call Millport’s Botanical gardens, has great views to the sea front and the smaller outer islands. There is a great open section of beach here, which only seems to only get really busy during the Glasgow fair holidays. The pub like the mainland has all the usual drinks and would pass as a typical Glasgow pub. The place sells food from a reasonably varied menu and a good-sized portion of food is given on each plate.
