E TA left this review about The Snow Goose
Just outside the old town centre, The Snow Goose is an 18th Century coach house now owned by Vintage Inns and comprises a single L-shaped bar with a variety of seating, a garish carpet and tired decor. There is a conservatory at one end which is at least a little more charismatic than the main bar, and there is an open fireplace which looks more Scandinavian than Scottish. There is a large car park, and it seems to cater mainly for the two travel hotels nearby. The food has always been awful, and it has recently become more expensive. For reasons known only to the local CAMRA, it's a GBG perennial - this is odd, as its beer is really not that good. There were two ales on this time, and both were in poor condition. There are much better pubs nearby.
