Will Larter left this review about Wintersgills

A lively locals bar on the busy artery of Great Western Road, and featuring in Camra's inventory of preserved pub interiors. It's been very well described by the previous reviewer, and if it hadn't changed in three decades since his first visit, we can be fairly sure it's much the same a further decade on. It looks smart and comfortable, with groups of regulars sitting at or leaning on the bar counter for a chat with whoever's available. No real ale, of course, but I spotted a "malt of the moment" promotion, a Loch Lomond for £2.99 (35ml). Lovely stuff!

David Ross left this review about Wintersgills Bar

This century old pub hasn’t changed significantly in the three decades plus since I was first in it. It’s traditional in style and layout with a bar at the front, on the street entrance, and a lounge at the rear, both with high ceilings, chandelier lighting and ornate cornices and supporting pillars. A good draught range includes Guinness (at £3.05 a pint), Belhaven Best, Tartan Special, Tennent’s and Carling lagers, Stella Artois, Schiehallion and Strongbow cider, all at reasonable prices for a borderline West End pub.
