A long pub (Ptarmigan bar) on three levels over three rooms, overlooking the village green. The central room is the bar area, some old beams here but generally modern with Prem League footy showing on the TV. Selection of papers and a hearth fire. Modern but comfy lounge diner down two steps to the left, whilst up two steps on the right is reception leading on to a posh restaurant (food is available in the other bars though). Suntrap paved garden. Two pumps with one on, Steam Box Pole Dancer Mild which was in decent shape. Spotted some Dryga(?) bottles in the fridge. Ate here and it was fairly naff, plus they gave me chips rather than the ordered mash. Worth a swift one but not at the expense of a session in the Clachan. 5.5

Independent hotel which extends around much of the village square. The pub part is the Ptarmigan bar, a fairly narrow traditionally furnished bar with a larger lounge area to the side. Two handpumps, with a Loch Ness beer on offer at time of visit, manned by kilted staff. Slightly offputting is the string of large screen TVs, otherwise it could be quite cosy.
