Country pub located in a pretty setting.
The pub doesn't open until 3pm (apart from a Sunday). So, it looked like I was the first customer on my Tuesday afternoon visit. The landlady certainly looked surprised to see me.
The L-shaped bar is surrounded by a relatively cosy and traditional room. But the lack of customers meant there was very little, if any, atmosphere.
Two real ales were on - Skinner's Porthleven & Dartmoor Legend.
For some reason, there was a covered steam engine in the car park.

Called in while doing a walk from Wheal Busy to Portreath as it is close to the Coast to Coast mining trail. If you are not into walking there is a car park, and the 43 bus runs there from Camborne, Redruth and Truro. There were a couple of real ales on and I selected the Coastal Poseidon which was a well kept ale.

The Bridge Inn is one of the best oubs in Cornwall. Its a basic, good old fashioned pub with proper pub grub - burger and chips, egg and chips, but also sells jacket potatoes and has a good specials board. Food prices are cheap, but the food is worth more. If you want poncy food with salad dressings then this isnt the pub for you!
