Colin Walker left this review about Castlecary House Hotel
Castlecary House Hotel is found right off the M80 in the village of Castlecary, by the instantly recognisable landmark from 1842, The Redburn Rail Viaduct. Nowadays, this is locally known as ‘Castlecary Arches’ and is used widely by road traffic news reporters as a known point to advise motorists of traffic flow news. The Viaduct over the M80, is still in constant use today as a mainline road and train route. At the rear of the hotel is what is left of section of the Roman built Antonine Wall. The pub section of the hotel is called The Poachers which has traditional bar interior. The food available is pub grub. There is plenty of seating and has big screen entertainment. There is a very large choice of whisky available at the bar and a good selection of Real Ale. Parking is available at the front of the hotel with some parking at the side.
