David Ross left this review about Camphill Vaults
The modernisation of the frontage and the addition of the “Riva” restaurant onto the side
of the original building had me concerned that the old bar inside might have been altered too, but I needn’t have worried. The Camphill remains much the same as it was last time I visited, except for an extended seating area at the back leading through to the new toilets which are now shared with the restaurant. The bar retains its old fashioned pub look, but clean, well kept and decorated with brewery and distillery mirrors. There was no music playing and only one TV, with the sound turned down, in the small snug adjoining the bar. Stella Artois at £3.45 a pint and Peroni at £4 are the sort of prices I’d expect to pay in this rather up-market village. Guinness, Caledonia Best, Tennent’s lager and Magner’s Golden Draught cider are also on tap. An excellent pub which is well worth a visit, but which, understandably, can become extremely busy on weekend nights.
