Strongers . left this review about The Elbow Room

Being called the Elbow Room I was expecting a pool related venue, but this is a bona fide bar and restaurant. On a recent midweek afternoon, I entered the right-hand side to find a good-sized restaurant with a serving counter up the left that faces open plan seating to the right. A friendly member of staff informed me that there’s a surcharge on restaurant drinks, so if I was only drinking it would be cheaper to use the bar which I found to the left past a snug with wood panelled walls. The red carpeted L-shaped bar is much smaller than the restaurant, but it was also much busier with around twenty vocal locals. There’s an L-shaped stool lined serving counter on the rear wall that supports standard keg alongside Madri. On the rear wall to the left of the counter is a dartboard and a banquette up the left-hand wall faces a pool table. Under the front windows a mix of seating with tables runs along the front wall. A large television was switched off, as was the jukebox, but the Chase was on a smaller television with the sound on. There are lots of US ice hockey team shirts and pennants across the ceiling, which I found a bit odd until I walked around the corner from the pub past the Fife Ice Arena. I’d use this place if I was a local, but it’s too far out of town to warrant a revisit.
