Abbotshall is a hotel and restaurant with an open plan bar area at the front where a serving counter up the left faces a mix of high and standard furniture on laminate flooring that continues into the large restaurant at the rear. Televisions throughout were airing muted Sky Sports while some random background music played, I noted Valerie followed by some bagpipe folky BS. Unsurprisingly, the draught range stretches to standard Scottish keg, I went for a pint of Tennents which I was getting a taste for during my Scottish travels. There was little of note here, in fact I only remember the place because the barman was extremely friendly and helpful in helping me source a local cab back to my hotel.
