A planning application has been submitted to turn the Category C-listed three storey building into four flats. This sparked a backlash in the community which wants it saved as a hotel. North Queensferry Community Trust has announced it is is working to facilitate the purchase of the hotel by a group of local community investors, with a view to its restoration and re-opening. https://www.fifetoday.co.uk/news/politics/council/community-bid-to-save-historic-fife-hotel-beneath-forth-rail-bridge-from-flats-plan-3139890

Malcolm Evans left this review about The Albert Hotel

The Albert Hotel is the local for the folks of North Queensferry & has a good atmosphere. It has a large bar, with Victorian cabinet displaying a wide variety of spirits. There's one guest ale each week & Belhaven best on tap. There's a range of lagers & beers. There's a good bar menu: bowl of chips and cheese to steak pie.

There's an open fire for those cooler days
