Strongers . left this review about Glen Tavern

Early on a recent Tuesday afternoon I entered the Glen Tavern through the left-hand door to be met by a friendly member of staff who directed me around to the right-hand bar after I confirmed that I wouldn’t be eating. In this carpeted right-hand side there’s a U-shaped banquette at the front and standard tables up the right-hand wall opposite the wood panelled serving counter that runs up the left. Standard keg and Birra Moretti were available from the friendly barmaid. At the rear is a raised wooden floored area with another, larger, brown U-shaped banquette. There’s no television and I found the background music to be a bit slow, so even though this is a friendly and comfortable pub I was glad to be on my way.

Will Larter left this review about Glen Tavern

This is a handy pub for Pittencrieff Park, taking its name from the dramatic glen through which Tower Burn flows. There's a central bar with a dining room to the left, and the right hand side split between dining tables to the rear and just a few seats, although pleasant and comfortable ones, for drinkers at the front. There's no real ale here, of course, and my half of Theakstons Pale was cold, fizzy and tolerable.
