Strongers . left this review about Partners Bar

There were two other customers in Partners on a recent Wednesday lunchtime visit when I think I witnessed the barmaid permanently handing over the dayshift keys to the next generation. The walls are painted in two shades of grey and a yellow, and a grey tartan banquette is found under the front window where it turns up the right-hand wall to the serving counter. The same colour banquette is found on left wall towards the rear where it butts onto a laminate dance floor. The rest of the pub is carpeted apart from some tiles that edge along the serving counter. The jukebox was off in favour of daytime television and regular discos, and karaoke nights are advertised for upstairs, which I imagine was closed off during my visit. The service was polite, but only standard keg was available, which to be honest is common in these parts. This isn’t somewhere I’ll be rushing back to visit.

The pub has a live band on when I went in on a Thursday night. I was only having a pint thank goodness because of the band; I could not hear myself think. The bar maids could hardly hear me so I could not find out if there was a quiet night. The noise only seemed to affect myself, as the place was quite busy. John Smiths for the beer and 2 lager choices and plenty of shots & usual spirits.
