Colin Walker left this review about Spylaw Tavern
The Spylaw Tavern is another of these great places for whisky & bourbon drinkers. With over 100 to choose from, such as Scottish whisky malts and blends, Irish, Welsh, English, Indian & Japanese and American bourbon. The whisky measure is 25ml and at the time of visiting start at £2.55 with the dearest being Fettercairn 30-year-old at £8.25. Some cheaper options are when the whisky is the whisky of the month, when the price can fall to £1.95. There over 20 gins available all at 25ml. There is a choice of 2 changing ales available. The Bar is open Mon, Tues & Wed 11:30am to 11pm, Thurs, Fri & Sat 11:30am to 12am & Sun 12pm to 11:30pm. The restaurant is open Mon, Tues Wed & Thurs 12pm to 9pm & Fri & Sat 12pm to 9:30pm & Sun 12pm to 9pm. There is only very limited street parking. The village of Colinton is very picturesque and is in a conservation area.
