hondo . left this review about Hanover Tap

Small bar area at the front with the main seating area up a few stairs to the rear. Keg only selection some decent ones amongst the standard stuff.

Will Larter left this review about Hanover Tap

The pub has been reinvented since its previous incarnation, though my daughter was pleased to find that the toilet was still behind the revolving bookcase. Just one real ale (Bru Irish Red Ale - which is apparently imported from County Meath) although there are three hand pumps. In addition several craft keg taps protruded from the wall behind the bar. The rear room, on a slightly higher level than the bar, was quite pleasant and interesting, but it would take a more intriguing beer selection to tempt me back.

E TA left this review about The Jekyll And Hyde

A Gothic-style, horror themed pub, the Jekyll and Hide is a lively venue with a bit of fun thrown in. The decor is slightly camp, the many nooks and crannies giving a cosy feel (provided you don't mind the numerous props and the TV screens showing horror movies). The clientele is a mix of students, tourists and passers-by. Toilet doors disguised in bookcases provide an additionalk source of amusement, while the bar-staff keep in character with their neo-Gothic dress and appearance (though I'm not entirely sure how intensional that is). Food is simple, but good quality and cheap. The real let-down is that there is no real ale, so I wouldn't want to include it in a crawl, but it's worth popping in when passing just for the novelty value or for a quick lunch.
