One of Edinburgh's classic pubs, The Barony is in a busy terrace on Broughton Street. A large L-shaped bar decorated with spectacular tiles and multiple brewery mirrors and wooden floors gives a slightly palatial feel to the place. A grandly decorous bar, ornate cornices and fireplace contribute to the decor. Quite rightly, it's a popular venue with beer lovers and has been a regular GBG entry. Seven ales and a cider on this time - I only had time for one so I went for Exmoor Ale, which was in perfect condition. Definitely worth including in a crawl and worth making the effort to find, but maybe not somewhere to come if you want a quiet meal.
