Roger Button left this review about Kris Kros (Seafield Arms Hotel)
The Kris Kros Bar was originally the stables for the adjoining Seafield Arms Hotel and, after a diverse set of uses ranging from ice cream parlour to petrol station, now acts as the Public Bar (the Hotel itself also has a bar but this is for residents use only).
The bar is a single, spacious room with a blue neon bathed, stone cladded bar running almost the length of the far wall. The general décor is quite contemporary but fairly plain with a tiled floor, thin beams and exposed stone walls painted white but overall nothing that grabs the attention. To the right is a pool table area and dart board whilst the rest of the bar has well spaced out furnishings making it look a bit sparse. The place appears to be at its peak when there is live nmusic or karaoke but it has a rather hollow ambience when empty, as it was on my visit despite World Cup football being screened. There is nothing much on the beer side of things other than the usual keg bitters, lagers etc that can be found in pretty much any pub in the area.
On the whole it seems to be a pretty soulless place with little character and not much of interest to anyone beyond the regular customer base.
