Blue Scrumpy left this review about Maggie’s Bar

Sat back slightly from a set of traffic lights, this place is now more of a cafe/restaurant than a bar. You enter into the main bar area, with a number of different rooms off to each side, mainly for dining, but also used for functions.

Under previous guises, this used to be a popular real ale pub. These days, it's keg only with Menabrea, Heverlee, Tennent's Lager, Magners & Magners Dark Fruit being the options.

Situated some way to the south of the town centre, it's not worth making the effort to get here just for a drink. All other customers (including a lot of families) on our Tuesday lunchtime visit only appeared to be there for the food.
