Steps lead up to the grand entrance of the Old School House where a few picnic tables are located. The interior consists of an island bar with a strip of seating behind and booth seating in front either side of the entrance. To the left and right are sunken seating areas and balcony seating wraps around the front and side walls. Plasma screens are located throughout for showing Sky Sports. These were all muted during my recent Monday night visit in favour of some background music. The bar is stocked with standard and premium keg products and food is available. The burger costs £7 with an option to add a pint for an extra £1.50. I found the service to be friendly and I quite liked it in here so would have no problem popping in to watch a match.

This pub is no longer a hogshead. Hogsheads were a Real Ale pub chain owned by Whitbread. The pubs were then sold to Laurel Inns who in turn sold some off to Greene King. This pub is now called the Old Town School and is now managed by the pubs arm of Belhaven Brewery who are now also owned by Greene King. The pub used to be very good but is now spoiled by the music being cranked up making conversation in the evenings a trifle difficult.
