Strongers . left this review about Grove House
The Grove House consists of a lounge bar to the left and a public bar to the right. During a recent Tuesday evening visit I popped my head into the lounge bar to find it empty so I joined ten or so locals in the small public bar. The plasma screen was airing a muted World Cup qualifier via ITV4 whilst background music played from the jukebox. A dartboard hangs on the rear wall and I spotted a table with pub skittles sitting on it. I overheard someone talking about playing pool, but I didn’t note the presence of a table. On the beer front, a standard keg range was available and the two hand pumps in both bars were unused.
To the left of the pub is a car park and to the right is a tarmacked enclosed beer garden with some seating. Live music is advertised outside, but so is real ale which was not available. I found the service to be polite in this basic local’s boozer, but I’m not sure that I will be rushing back.
