The Britannia is a large John Barras pub with ample parking and a few picnic tables outside the entrance. The central bar faces seating along the front windows and has a large seating area to the left and more seating with a pool table and dartboard to the right. The bar is stocked with a standard keg range alongside San Miguel and I counted four hand pumps drawing four different ales.
Plasma screens are located throughout for showing Sky Sports and there was some background music playing from the jukebox during my recent Tuesday evening visit. Live entertainment was advertised for the Christmas period which is still over two months away. I’m not sure if this entertainment is a regular thing. The service was friendly, and I’d have no problem popping back in for another pint.
