Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Dirty Duck Ale House
Quite a modern building in a fine position by the Esplanade overlooking the ferries and cargo ships passing along Belfast Lough. Traditionally-decorated, if cramped, split-level downstairs bar. Upstairs restaurant with large picture windows. Triangular patio beer garden at the front. One of the very few non-Wetherspoons real ale outlets in the province outside of Belfast, with three of the four handpumps in operation when I visited offering Samuel Adams Blonde Ambition, Inveralmond Thrappledouser and the 'house' ale from the Hilden Brewery (£3.50). Also a rare sighting the curious 2.8% Guinness Mid Strength. Close to Holywood station, and worth seeking out if in the area.
