A great looking white rendered three story Georgian corner pub, with beer garden. It has a date stone of 1825. It has a nice central entrance with the usual Georgian pilasters and entablature.

The interior has an L-shaped room which is in red and cream, with a cream and beam ceiling and a stone flag floor, along with a nice undressed stone fireplace with a grate fire . There is a stage area, where they hold live music gigs and there is a separate skittle ally. There are mirrors and a few bits of brass dotted about for interest and there is a pool table and a dart board on the stage area. The music was general and at a decent level. There is a large screen TV, which wasn’t on at my visit. The service was very friendly and the clientele consisted of a few locals.

Beer; usual tap stuff with St Austell Tribute and a very good HSD on handpull.

Another friendly pub – and again one I would go back to – pub games and a music venue, it is certainly worth a look
