The Travellers Well is very much food led, which was good for me as I searched for somewhere to have dinner on a recent Wednesday evening. I was the only customer when I entered just after 20:00, but some other diners came in during my visit. The menu consists of traditional pub mains which, apart from the steak dishes, are priced under £10. I went for the mixed grill (£16) which was huge and extremally tasty. Whilst this place is verging on restaurant status, there were a few bar stools so non-diners are more than welcome. Keg available from the bar was Fosters, Birra Moretti, Courage Best and Strongbow. I would certainly return here for another meal, but I wouldn’t go in just for a drink.
