No cask. Keg offering of Guinness, Thatcher’s Gold, Carling, Coors, original and dark fruits SB, John Smiths, Carlsberg, Moretti and Cruz. Some Lilley's ciders in boxes on the surface of the bar counter.

High street venue with seating area out the front on a wide pavement. Inside the public bar is first encountered in a carpeted room with a bare board skirt around the two sides of the bar counter. Several screens were showing the racing action absent commentary, a cool easy listening soundtrack barely audible above the chat of the locals. There is a large semi-circular banquette around the large bay window to the right of the entrance and regular tables served by regular chairs and a duller colour fabric banquette along the left-hand wall. The public bar is access via a narrow walkway at the back of the lounge bar. There is a continuation of the bar counter and so to the immediate right of the entrance to the lounge bar. There were a couple of hand pumps on the bar counter but both with the clips turned round. The area is a mix of carpet and bare boards and there is a leather banquette down the left-hand wall serving several small tables. A large screen was above a fire grate with a dark wood surround on the wall opposite the entrance with a darting area to its side. There were a few other tables with assorted chairs dotted along the right-hand wall. This was a pub busy with locals at or above my age. If the hand pumps had been dispensing decent cask, then it would be a decent venue.

A locals' pub with a two bar layout; public bar at the front with several TV screens and a jukebox, and a quieter lounge at the rear. The bright décor does not give much atmosphere but the place is tolerable enough and the locals seemed friendly. Just GK IPA and Old Rosie on handpump though.
