Four hand pumps, three dispensing. Two were from Grey Trees, the Mosaic Pale Ale and the Equinox APA, the other being Citra from the Mary Brewing Co ( a new one for me). Extensive keg offering of Neck Oil, Thatchers Haze, Hawkstone lager, Estrella Galicia, Asahi, John Smiths, Madri, a tropical quaff from Tiny Rebel, Inch's regular and their Riverside offering, Guinness, Murphy's stout, Budvar, original SB, Cruz, Coors, Stella, San Miguel & Carling. Hardly a stellar collection but a decent number of taps on a quite small bar counter.

This is a neighbourhood venue, not too far from the main drag in Penarth. It is L shaped and bare boarded with a ceramic tiled skirt along the bar counter, which is on the left-hand wall just inside the corner entrance. Seating in the front part via tall and regular tables, which are served by a leather banquette along the wall opposite the bar counter. The rear section and the other side of the L-shape has regular tables and chairs and a long leather banquette along the rear wall. There is a small courtyard area outside in the fill in part of the L shape! TV's were showing build up to the evening Euro footy games. This was a busy venue, obviously very community popular and really a pretty decent venue. Not difficult to see why in the GBG and my pints of the two Grey Trees quaffs were excellent.

Traditional backstreet pub with traditional local backstreet punters (one person in particular was just downright hostile to two people turning up in walking gear). L shaped, retains some semblance of the old internal multi-room layout. Four pumps with two ciders and two ales, Grey Trees Digger’s Gold (flabby, first one out for a while NBSS 2) and Well Drawn's Pontcanna (cooler but an apply medicinal tint 1.5). We were the only people here not drinking Stella which clearly explains the beer quality. How this got into the GBG 2021 is a mystery to me.
