No cask. Three hand pumps all non-dispensing. Keg offering of Coors, black fruits Carling, Camden Hells, Stella, Orchard Pig Reveller cider, Camden pale, Carling, Doom Bar and Guinness.
Complex venue on the outside but simpler on the inside. On the right-hand side of the frontage is a bar with the bar counter just inside the entrance with some tall stool seating at the bar counter. Area is bare boarded with a mix of regular and barrel-based tables and a fire grate on the right-hand wall. The middle part of the venue is accessed via a walkway at the rear of the bar counter. There are a couple of booth tables at the rear but generally standing space at the other side of the bar counter. Up a couple of steps takes you to the sports bar side of the venue with a pool table and a dart board and some regular seating plus a drinking ledge. Was my least favourite of the generally above average venues in Llantwit Major postcode area and so I am a bit disappointed that I found one that saw me sup-up and leave as sharply as I could write my notes on the venue. Suspect this one is more popular with the younger folk of Llantwit Major town centre and probably much later in the evening than my visit.

Weird - two very different buildings smooshed into one (see photo). The main bar is located in the narrow, low-ceilinged, older section. Fairly basic feel with a black and white colourscheme; white thick daub walls and black wood trim. Rock soundtrack and it seems to be a music pub as the bigger rear room in the ‘other’ building had various bits of musical regalia and what possibly looked like a performance space. Friendly young barmaid standing behind two pumps with one ale on; St Austell Tribute (NBSS 2) which was heavy and dank – had it been on via an aspirator since re-opening or had the lines been in water during lockdown? Just one other customer until the places filled up 5 minutes before leaving, as what seemed to be the entire customer base from the White Hart trooped in (the two pubs appear to have some sort of shared ownership from what I could ascertain). Didn’t do much for me, one for the locals late night drinking really.
