Cask here was Sharps Solar Wave hazy IPA, the Diggers Gold from Grey Trees and the Farmers Fruit Range Cherry Beer from Bradford Brewery in Sheffield. Keg was Carling, Coors, Camden Hells, Camden Pale Ale, Inch's, Thatchers Haze, Moretti, Corona, Guinness.

Impressive venue. The outside space at the front was super popular on my visit in the mid-summer sunshine. Tarmac with picnic benches is the look. Inside, the left-hand side has a stone tiled bar area, bar counter opposite the entrance and regular tables and chairs in the space. A log burner will offer more in colder and darker times of the year. The right-hand side is the restaurant area and is L shaped with a tiled flooring and regular tables and chairs set for diners. There is an extensive rear beer garden with typical seating arrangement one would expect. Tight between immediate neighbours on the beer front (not including the Tudor Tavern in that comparison for the avoidance of doubt), but I think it won out as the premier cask beer venue in LMajor town centre. Saying that I enjoyed the Old Swan vibe slightly more for that to edge it as my pub of the day in the town centre!

The GBG pub in the village. Set over two rooms though we could only explore the left side because of the Wuflu. This had stone walls, some of which were whitewashed and one had a large stringed contraption mounted to it (part of an old loom machine?). Three pumps with two ales on, GK Abbot and a fabulous Glamorgan Cwrw Gorslas (NBSS 4). A decent visit was jaded when the female teenage bob-a-job staff decided to close early and clean up around us. Beer quality speaks for itself, worth a visit if you’re in town.
